Bamboo Removal

The Property Manager and Board Members of this Community reached out to Bates for a solution on their bamboo that borders a portion of the development. Being that this was a capital improvement project for them, they wanted the most cost-effective option – they also love the privacy it provides from the newly constructed community behind them.

Project Description:

The Property Manager and Board Members of this Community reached out to Bates for a solution on their bamboo that borders a portion of the development. Being that this was a capital improvement project for them, they wanted the most cost-effective option – they also love the privacy it provides from the newly constructed community behind them.

Bates recommended a cut down / back approach to the community with on-going maintenance of mowing. The bamboo measured at 250ft long and we pushed it back by 15ft into the woods. This would allow homeowners within the community to gain an additional 15ft of lawn space, while also slowing down the growth of the bamboo.

Bates did not dig out the rhizomes (bamboo roots) in an effort to reduce costs for the community. The development is also to mow the small shoots down now with regular weekly mowing to keep it in better condition for the nearby homeowners.
