Native Planting with Added Water Feature
The client has acreage that they wanted to convert from turf to a native, wildlife garden.
Montgomery County, PA
$8,000 – $13,000
We did a site survey and located approximately a quarter acre that we proposed clusters of planting beds with turf walking paths meandering between. We added a small pond with a bubbler to provide a wildlife drinking source. We chose a palette of all native plantings cultivated in coordination with the client to attract particular wildlife while maintaining four seasons of interest.
We presented the client options for a structural planting more focused on trees and shrubs and also presented the option to add a significant amount of native grasses and perennials which the client chose. We finally added a grassy swale and a rain garden to support drainage in the site.
