Custom Pondless Water Feature

The homeowners asked Bates Landscaping to re-conceptualize the pond in the rear of their house, next to their gazebo. The pond was leaking often and difficult to maintain as the years progressed, and they wanted a change.

Location:

Chester County, PA

Budget Range:

$12,000 – $15,000

Project Description:

The homeowners asked Bates Landscaping to re-conceptualize the pond in the rear of their house, next to their gazebo. The pond was leaking often and difficult to maintain as the years progressed, and they wanted a change.

Bates designed and recommended a Pondless water feature. This recommendation allowed them to have the sound and feel of running water, without the hassle and upkeep of a pond. The design was made to have (2) viewports – at the gazebo (while drinking coffee!) and from the deck.

To tie everything together, Bates added seasonal color with perennials, shrubs, and other mixed plant material. With the feature, we re-purposed all the original stone from the pond to give a nod to the previous feature (that the homeowner built). We also brought in large fieldstone boulders for a custom look!
